TU+ // Varathit Uthaisri is a designer/director based in New York City.

Originally from Bangkok, Thailand, TU+ began his design career as an art director at Beboydcg (2003), one of Thailand's unique animation companies, after recieving his B.Design from University of News South Walses, Sydney. With the graphic and interactive background, he was responsible for designing the promo. for the animations/comics through different media; from print, web to the mobile media. Later, He was also involved in a production of an unpublished MTV game show, as well as directed an animated TV commercial for Kuri Kuri, as his first directing piece. From these experiences, he focused more on motion design and moving images field.

In 2004, he and his collegues found B.O.R.E.D., a Bangkok multi-disciplinary design collective, where he started producing art projects on the side of his regular job.With the motto of 'CREATIVITY FROM DAILY BOREDOM', B.O.R.E.D. aimed to present a new alternative vision of fresh+fun to the Bangkok's conventional design scene. At B.O.R.E.D., he worked in various design fields such as, print graphic, illustration, motion graphic, broadcast design, visual jockey and live visual concerts. In 2005, TU+ was a full-time member of B.O.R.E.D. MOTION, responsible for most of motion/broadcast related projects, while began VJing in nightclubs and parties at night.

In Feburary 2007, B.O.R.E.D 's distinctive style of visual event led to the great collaboration with world’s renowed visual artists, DFUSE with OneDotZero and the British Council in the energetic RE-IMAING THE CITIES event.

Recently, TU+ has graduated from MFA in Design and Technology at Parsons The New School for Design, with his experiemental thesis project "SURFACE FILM". He was a design intern at Psyop(May 08 - Jan 09) and has been freelancing for motion graphic in NYC.
